Bush Travel & Survival

Interested in learning about bush travel and survival? We offer a full day workshop on how to set up a survival kit , bush travel and fire starting procedures. This program is a benefit to anyone that travels in the bush and is of particular interest to hunters, snow mobilers and those working in the forest environment.

The Alberta Trappers' Association decided to make this program available to the public after observing numerous people in the woods without basic equipment or bush sense when traveling. Trappers spend a great deal of time in the forest and their years of travel have developed into common sense items and travel tips for safe forest use.
