Carmen, the Nordegg Trapper, was taken from us on December 14th, 1997, in a vehicle accident, while working overtime, early that Sunday morning. A young, inexperienced driver had lost control of his vehicle and collided with Carmen, South of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.
Mr. Cooper had a love, understanding and appreciation for nature and all of God's critters that few in our modern civilization seem to have anymore. Carmen Cooper’s family asked, at the time of his passing, that memorial contributions be made to the Alberta Trappers Association.
A memorial Scholarship Fund has now been started as a result of this funding. We believe Carmen would approve of this concept.
