Biodiversity Monitoring in Alberta

Tropical Leaves

The Alberta Trappers Association invites it's MEMBERS to join NatureLynx, a new Alberta-based citizen science app developed by the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute!

Please Note: You must be a current member of the Alberta Trappers Association
to join this Private ATA group on the app.
If Admin is unable to verify you by a username, your application to join the group will not be able to be completed.

This can be done using your cellphone, or by visiting This is a PRIVATE group, so your sightings will only be shared with ATA members on the app. All sightings will be shared with the ABMI and will support biodiversity monitoring here in Alberta.

To get started:

  1. Download the app on Google Play or the App Store, or visit, to set up your account

  2. Search for the Alberta Trappers Association group and submit a request to join the private group

  3. Email with your NatureLynx username, so that we can accept your request

  4. Upload your biodiversity sightings and tag them to the ATA group during upload. Your sightings will only be visible with members of the ATA group.

You will find below two user guides developed by the ABMI to help get you acquainted with the app.
